Anemocarpa saxatilis

Family: Asteraceae

Small woolly grey shrub to 40cm tall.

Flowers start pale pink and fade to white as they age.

Grown among rocks and stony plains and is often found in Central Australia on sand hills and in the ranges.

Small range through southern Northern Territory, South Australia, Queensland and New South Wales.

Where to find this plant at Alice Springs Desert Park

Visitor centre courtyard, Desert Rivers (among the bull spinifex) and Woodland habitats. Very nice example in Nature Theatre.
