Schoenia cassiniana

Small annual wildflower which blooms in the winter months, usually July to September.
Named after French botanist Alexandre Cassini.
Common on sandplains and red sandy dunes especially after good autumn rains, often forming vast drifts.
Range includes southern Northern Territory, central South Australia and small patches in Western Australia.

Pink everlastings can be found at the front entrance to the park, in the visitor centre courtyard and in the Sand Country habitat (mostly along the southern pathway - sand plain sub-habitat).
