Assistance getting around
Electric shop riders can be hired from the entry station. Hire fees provide a donation towards Red Cross and Friends of the Desert Park. Pre-booking is highly recommended.
Baby change
Baby change rooms are located in the Courtyard and in the Nocturnal House.
Coolamon Café
The Coolamon Cafe serves specialty coffee and other beverages, seasonal breakfast and lunch options, cakes and slices and other treats.
Many of the recipes feature Australian bush foods, with a range of tasty choices for those with special dietary needs.
Open 7:30am – 4pm daily.
Drink facilities
Water bubblers are located at various positions around the park.
First aid
The first aid room is located in the Courtyard. All of our guides have a current first aid certificate.
Gift shop
Pick up an iconic souvenir or gift to remember you Desert Park visit from the Gift Shop, open daily from 7:30am to 4:30pm.
Nature play
Children have the chance to reconnect with nature along a nature discovery path through Desert Rivers.
Picnic area
A picnic area is located on the western side of the car park. Facilities include picnic tables, barbecue facilities and toilets. Small picnic tables within shade shelters are located within Desert Park.
Playground
Enjoy the shaded playground adjacent to the Coolamon Café where children can play with desert heroes in a secure environment.
Strollers
Children’s strollers are available for free of charge from the entry station.
Toilets
Toilets located in the courtyard, entry building, Nocturnal House and picnic area. All toilets are wheel chair accessible.
Wi-Fi
Free Wi-Fi can be found in the Courtyard, Cinema, Café, Desert Rivers Discovery Zone, Lhere Ilthe Shelter, Nocturnal House and Amphitheatre.
